Christmas Card Explorations - Much to the Horror of Our Human

Peaches here!  Back in our colorful past, 

we used to torture our human by exploring all her Christmas cards - cat style. Many cards were from bloggers and fellow CATS

  were on them.  Naturally, we had to investigate....

I could hardly contain myself.  All those colorful objects with CATS on them. But I knew I didn't have the agility not to make a mess.  

Fortunately, PAPRIKA came along to save the day.  It was one of the FEW times she was helpful.   For

once in my life I decided to accept her help.  She demonstrated immediately how to handle the cards.

At first she PRETENDED she was just casually taking a LOOK at the pretty cards.  (so as not to alarm the human.)

But THEN....

she proceeded with "THE CHRISTMAS CARD STROLL". Uh Oh.  This alerted THE HUMAN who had little patience with Paprika's delicate manoeuvering....

 The game was not over. Paprika persevered.    She knew she could get across the table gracefully inspite of the human's "interference."

Well, would you believe?  Paprika made it across the table without knocking over a single card!  I, Peaches could have never done it!  Paprika accepted my thanks gracefully.

Christmas cards can be quite tempting but I will definitely leave these maneouvers to Paprika in the future. She's just made for "sly moves..."  (But she IS graceful, I must admit.

This year we offered as a 2025 gesture to make some Christmas graphics for those who didn't have any yet, and many took us up on this.  They are posted below!

However now we can't find Mom Carol.  She murmured something about "not sure she got all those blog names straight ..."  We purr-sonally think she's gone into hiding.  Even though WE did most of the work.  We keep reminding her of this. Without US, where would she be?

It's Ugly Sweater Day!

 We always wanted to celebrate ugly Sweater Day but our human was to lazy to find sweaters for us, and plus there has to be something called an Ugly Sweater party involving "other cats" and our hunan was too timid to ask for volutneers.  But this. year she did!  And so many cats volunteered, we had to turn down some really good looking kitties.  So we limited it to 10 or 11 or 12, and we had our "sweater models" and all expressed satisfaction with their sweaters!  Here is the poster of US and our "guest cats."  You may notice someone you know in there.  Sharon S's REESIE was one of the volunteers.  Our human got so excited about that she put her in TWICE and then decided ust to live the two Reesies there.  How do you like our poster?

We also did alittle animated parade of the kitties...and you might want to see their larger pics too...we bet that YOUR human didn't try to fool around with heavy sweaters and make you wear them.  But it was kindof a fun party anyway...

Every

cat should try this at least once every ten years.  which is about as soon as we'll want to do it again!

1) email our Mom Carol a Christmas photo OR link to one on your blog.

2) Her email is in the green and red announcement.

3) You must must MUST put clearlu the name of your blog. Your name too.

3) If you don't yet have a Christmas Graphic, WE WILL MAKE ONE FOR YOU.  YES!  NO PROBLEM, JUST ASK.

4) Official Deadline is 12/20.  We may consider 12/21, since it's end of weekend

Puzzling Peaches and Paprika - Puzzles We Made

Our human started an Etsy shop for C-A-T-S this year and was she content to only include graphics of US....?  NOooo....it started off that way but this year she had to incude OTHER CATS when she made her PUZZLE creations....Despite our objections, she insisted we show you the puzzles in her Etsy shop....she also makes mugs, totes,

 pillows and other things but at holiday time, the puzzles seem to be in demand.  Thought you might not mind looking at a few.  Her Etsy link is below if you wnt to see more! Joining Athena's Caturday Hop and Cat on Our Head's SundayHop too.  Happy Holiday Season, youze guys.  

She did have the common courtesy to include one of US this year on a bicycle, its the last puzzle.

Happy National Bathtub Party Day

 Happy Naitonal Bath Tub Party Day!  Now we, as cats, are usually cautious about anything WATER-related but we HAVE purr-suaded all our cousins, aunts and uncle tiger-calicos to give it a try.  They are very inventive, finding a way to get in the tub without getting wet.  Hats off to our courageous feline relatives. As for us, we're staying dry today.

We thought it would suffice for now to have our relatives cooperate but NOoooo, our unstoppable had to go and ask our brave models to go a step further.  She suggested a water fight!  (see video above...we think it's out-rageous.)

Cebrating Faux Fur Friday 2025 - in Style!

We have always believed in Faux Fur Friday...because there's so little we have to do to prepare!  Why all we have to do is parade around in our REAL FUR...Whadaya think...am I the "real thing?" -- Peaches the cat

Our human, demonstrating the "faux fur" look thinks she can look like US just by wearing the right kind of sweater.  Lots of Luck with THAT idea human!   

But our human DOES go to alot of trouble celebrating this day!  Just look at the zebra throw she got for us! 

FAUX FUR DAY made its debut in 1929. Initially made from alpaca wool, faux fur increased in quality as synthetic fibers became available. The fibers not only allowed for more variety and texture, but they also provided warmth. Designers use it as an accent on clothing. They also create decor and entire ensembles. Faux fur comes in every color imaginable, too. 

HOW TO OBSERVE #FauxFurFriday

Throw a faux fur style show or shop for a faux fur deal. Wrap yourself in a soft, furry throw or poncho. Add some faux fur to a denim jacket

As you can see, I am getting in the spirit by a demo with our human Carol's tiger-striped hat.  Her intentions are good. Here is a better picture of the hat in question.  As you can see this hat and I are very good friends!   I prefer in fact to think of it as "my hat." However my sister, Paprika seems to think she got a raw deal, due to the fact she was given a LEOPARD blanket.  Paprika is SO picky.  As far as I, Peaches am concerned, it's all good!  BTW that tiger hat I spoke of is in hot demand.  

I, Paprika, have rights to this hat, too! I use it whenever I see it.  I'm not crazy like Peaches tho.  She WEARS it!

Peaches here, back again!  I wish to prove I'm not picky about whether the "faux fur" is leopard or tiger.  As you see, I am purr-fectly content on the leopard throw which Mom Carol gave us, evidenced by the fact, I'm kicking up my heels, er snow white boots!    Happy Faux Fur Day to all, and remembr if you ar "without faux fur" in your house, you always have your own fur-ball to pet!

 We have a special TREAT for you today, cooked up by our. human Mom Carol.  We know ou must get tired of looking at US from time to time, so we are going to share with you some very special artists who won our "THANKSGIVING CAT CONTEST" this week on our art gallery site,Fine Art America 

Here are the three winners and there are three honorable mention talented recipients as well!

Our first place winner is GAYLE DEEL, and her soulful "Thankful Kitty!"  Gayle lives in the Roanoke Virginia area and she's a musician as well!

Our second place winner, with his unique art image, "Three Cats Celebrating Thanksgiving" is ANDY GAMBINO, from London, who specializes in mixed media and is in in the arts for over 30 years. Andy won a previous contest we gave!

Leslie Reagan and her  "Cozy Cat Autumn" is our talented third place winner, an artist and photographer she was born in and lives in California.

Ekta Gupta, Shoal Hollingworth and Bunny Clark were our honorable mention runners up.
