More Cat Artist Winners from Fine Art America Contests

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone!  Our human, Mom Carol has a real treat in store for you!  She figures you have gotten tired of looking at US all the time, so she has lined up an incredibly diversified cast of WINNERs from our second cat artist contest on her online group, FINE ART AMERICA.  

This contest was judged by four arts group leaders and the winners were a consensus of all!

Without further ado, here are the talented CAT HALLOWEEN ARTISTS & their Creations!

A Halloween Scene

1st Place: Cindy Leapart's Creation "A Halloween Scene" is a whimsical creation of an elegant furball who would be a bat!  There he/she is, all dressed up like the bats outside the window.  They may be beckoning him but he does not look sure about it all!

Our 2ND prize winner is Jon Fennel's endearing creation entitled "Halloween Scene with Kitten." 

Well to tell the truth THIS kitten doesn't look like any kitten WE've ever seen and we want to know how she balances that Looong hat.  But she did win the hearts of many and who can resist a kitten anyway?  I say, we grown up cats don't stand a chance! Note the decorative fall background surrounding this little cutie,....

3rd Place winner is Leann Piermont Camut's creation, "The Cat Coven."   Now this is one scary scene.  Are those cats REALLY witches?  They sure look like they know what they're doing.  We've often played around at being witches, but this crowd looks SERIOUS.  We hope they don't have OUR address!

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Just the Cat in the Hat

We bet you'll like these next four creations  too.  There are four of them who tied for honorable mention. 1) Angela Davies hero, "Just The Cat In the Hat," is apparently an executive cat who has been put in charge of 3 pumpkins. Great job guarding them!

2) Barron Holland's "Black Cat on Halloween Pumpkin is a quite inventive scene!  A dramatic black cat in the well known "arched  back" posture is performing in front of a group of awestruck humans playing a ferocious, apparently hissing spooky cat and performing a pawesome rendition of a traditional halloween feline.  His electrified audience is obviously impressed!  OR...he might REALLY be serious!

#3: Our next striking cat artist and creation is Epta Gupta and her utterly charming "Vincent Van Cat."  We think his multiple colors, fashionable halloween apparel, pumpkin cone hat and riveting background make him a MOST impressive charmer.

He is bound to impress the ladies in any season!

Our last #4 honorable mention Cat is meant to scare us all a bit, he's Newel Hunter's #4  creation called "SPOOKED."   We ask you:  could you look into those orange eyes and NOT be scared?   Because of this last cat we may not sleep as well as usual tonight and its all our human's fault. We told her we could supply her with many pictures of US, but NOooo, she likes variety!

Hopefully you've had a good time looking at these amazing creative creatures by other cat artists, all in a different style.  However, we DO think it's appropriate to close with a Meow-leen picture of US! Don't you agree? Being little vampires is our choice this year!  Love, Peaches & Paprika

Cat Artist Contest Winners (Fine Art America) - Part 1

Every year our human holds a HALLOWEEN CAT CONTEST in a group she curates on the Fine Art america site.  We don't agree with her performing this activity as it takes time takes time away from US but she is in charge so we have to relinquish the spotlight gracefullly! 

The FIRST PLACE WINNER, voted on by hundreds of Fine Art America members and visitors was (da dum) Earl Simmin's watercolor painting entitled "COZY KITTEN," the sweetest little gray ball of fur you could find anywhere.  (you have to admit, this kitten looks cozy indeed! Congrats to Earl!

Cat Dracula

Our next winner is Artist Sue Goldberg's ferocious halloween creation called CAT DRACULA!  We have to admit, Cat Dracula IS a little scary (well, very scary, and we plan to stay away from her/him!  

We hope you have enjoyed looking at our talented guest artist winners - they sure won the hearts of many!  Tomorrow we'll return with more guest artists.  (but don't worry, we won't be away for long!

We  are delighted to honor National Black Cat Day in the U.K!

In fact there is no doubt these handsome creatures descended from royalty!

Our Favorite Black Cat friend is MIDNIGHT, the loving cat of a beloved couple...

It's said that black cats of royalty often descend from their perches to cavort around...we caught them at it once!

 In case anyone did not know, WE are the REAL ARTISTS.  We keep telling our human that and we actually have a running disagreement as to WHO is the "real" artist.  But just look at this picture.  Doesn't our artistic environment, art supplies, canvas and ambiance PROVE that we are the muses behind it all?  Thank you!  We plan on joining Artistic Athena's Caturday Hop today!

Pirates Peaches and paprika Walk the Plank

 It's "MEOW LIKE A PIRATE" Day. We're celebrating in a special way!  See the ship below with US and all the OTHER PIRATE CATS?  Well...we've made them all walk the plank with a special Mrrrrowwww command.  See what happened below!  

Okay we Must CONFESS!  We needed cooling off after all that effort, so WE jumped in the water TOO! (as you'll see in the 5 second vid.)

Happy Cheese Pizza Day for Calicos

At first we hesitated..there were too many delicious  paws-t-vely enticing temptations right there before us. 

CHEESE PIZZA Day should be enjoyed by everyone...but ESPECIALLY by calicos...don't you agree????!!!

Eventually we simply could not Resist....

At first, we subjected "it" to the "sniff" test....

But soon curiosity gave way to GREED....

National Dog Day -- For Cats!

Peaches and Paprika's Crew hit the FELINE FRENZY CAFE for an epic celebration of National Dog Day.  Fries flew, paws clashed over mustard, and not a single dog was in sight!

Hot "dog" choices ranged from The Cat Dog Supreme to "Whisker Wieners" and, yes, meow shakes were served. 

The Menu was catabulous...

At the FELINE FRENZY CAFE, we honor the CAT way - by grilling up some Whisker Wieners and "Cat Dog" Supremes (100% dog free of course)

Peaches tries to read book on National Book Day

 Hello, Peaches the cat here.  As you may know I am a cat of many talents.  (in addition to my flaming calico looks). Did you know that I have a serious relationship with books?  Of course it's HARD WORK!  Here's what happened during my last attempt!  I TRIED to read a book but turning the pages wasn't so easy....I decided it was better to take a rest instead...might try again later!  Books make a good "foot rest..."

KITTY DAD PANORAMA!   As you will notice the guys are GREAT KITTY DADS.  We star in this "Guys and Cats" drama, in case the men need guidance in handling their fur-balls.  Looks like they do need some guidance....thats me, Peaches sitting on the floor next to another cat, while Paprika can be seen second from left.

Paprika lost her Meow!

First a couple days of sneezing, now this! My poor sister opens her mouth and a CROAK comes out.  Our human took her in the shower yesterday and warmed up her hang out with a vaporizing. Hoping her voice returns.  Or vet visit soon....

Meanwhile, since it's RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY (Feb 17) I have treated her to a special EAR-WASH.  Don't think I'll do this often, though. (just gave her one for Valentine!)
