Meowijuana & More...Our Secret Paws

Pardon the glazed look in my eye but you know how we felines get when Catnip, Festive Friday, Secret Paws Day and MEOWIJUANA (first time we heard of it)  all come at the same time!

We got our Secret Paws box from esteemed fellow blogger, AS THE WORLD PURRS and thanks to their thoughtful gifts, had a wonderful afternoon.

Before we post any more pictures, though, we would like to show you the slideshow we created so you can see a lot in a short time!

The box we received was fragrance filled and, to our joy, had a special little card, just for US!

More & More gifts kept appearing...here I am sniffing my favorite dental treats

 and there's all sorts of things here, such as a blue stocking with MICE!

THE HO HO TENT

There was a Ho HO Tent which was one of our favorites though of

course there were territorial issues...!

And then...we found move than 8 blue mice all stuffed into a catnip stocking!  Zowee~

Paprika lost no time relating to the mice...

 

Suddenly I got that glazed look...you know what I mean!

and then I knew I was a goner...CATNIPPED by the best of them!

It could definitely have been that MEOWIUANA that the "As The World Purrs" sent.  Thank you again for our wonderful gifts and for introducing us to "new goodies!"

Holiday Stocking Squeeze

Our human insisted on stuffing us into these stockings last night and said we had to stay till morning! Whaaa! Well they turned out to be pretty comfortable after all but we did sneak off to check out the turkey at midnight. Wishing all our blogger friends the merriest of Chritmasses and a years worth of happy Meows and Merries.

We Made another version of this card and then couldn't decide...here's the other one!

No holiday is complete without a midnight turkey hunt.  Seek and ye shall find...!  We sought a turkey and look what we found...! We first posted this cartoon in 2014 but the tradition lives on...~

Below you will a picture of me last week surveying a box with fascination...Is it for US?  But No, NOoooo, my human says she is CLOSING THE BOX and sending it AWAY!   NOoooo

Mrrrow.  How not fair can you get?  But before the box is sealed and sent away, I just MUST try to take a BITE out of it.

  There is something really good in there...if I only knew what it is!

Our human says we will be getting ANOTHER box soon.  For US!  I am salivating at the thought of it...I try to get to these things first before my sisfur Peaches.  She relies on me to pick out the "good stuff!?

Dreaming of a Red Christmas

Peaches here! A lot of the festivities are over, though we are still working on our bloggers 3rd annual CATMAS slideshow- expected tomorrow! Now that the Winter Solstice passed yesterday, it's time to think of love and light!  For our Caturday Art post, we decided to go red!  Whoops, it looks like Paprika is horning in again!

Good morning, Paprika here.  I am dreaming of snow even though we haven't had any this year and Peaches said I should not pretend.  But I'm creative and a dreamer.  Surely we will get some soon. Wishing all an awesome Caturday!

Cats Christmas Tree Shakedown

Hello, Paprika here, doing what I do best.  We love these beautiful trees and I find them impossible to resist.  I told Peaches my sisfur about my overwhelming temptation to ascend to the top and shake things up a bit. Happy Tummy Tuesday from Fleece-Peaches

Happy Tummy Tuesday.  My human wanted to post all christmassy stuff, but I insisted on celebrating in the "traditional manner." You see she bought me this FLEECE blanket as a holiday gift which exactly matches my coloring.  what's a girl to do?  Last nigt I was cavorting around on the new blanket, hoping she would get the idea....looks like I scored! Happy Tummy Tuesday to all this holiday week.

Luxuriating in Lemon...Lemon Cupcake Day

I bet you thought we were going to do holiday things, like knocking over Christmas trees or interfering with shopping. Well we WERE going to do those things but then we found out it was NATIONAL LEMON CUPCAKE DAY! Well that was just it!  We'll get back to errands soon. Meanwhile, we'll luxuriate in LEMON! Or is this a dream?  Whatever it is, Happy Caturday!

Christmas Card Interference by Peaches

This week it was our human's turn to send out cards.. I  tried to tell her I was interested in helping but did I get an invitation?  NO....!

Unlike my sisfur Paprika who walks gracefully amongst cards & Papers, leaving them as is, I, Peaches just get right down in the middle of them as you can see! Which is as it should be I think.

We first posted this picture a couple of years ago...but some things never change!

Poinsettia Peaches

Poinsettia Peaches!  That's my new name at least as of today.  Very few people know this (shhhh..) but I found out today is POINSETTIA DAY in honor of the red Christmas flower named after Joel Poinsett who discovered it in 1828.  This fun frame is from Imikimi. Happy Christmas Card Day

Good Morning, Peaches the cat here! Today is official  Christmas Card Day  The way to celebrate it is obvious! But a little history first...did you know the first Christmas cards were sent in London & commissioned by Sir Henry Cole? But we digress!
Since we haven't received many cards yet, having just missed the Xmas card exchange, we decided to celebrate  by fond memories of last years cards. I can't begin to tell you the our fun re-arranging all the cards!

I found the cards mesmerizing, and moved to my cat condo where I had a better view!

A sudden urge came over me...

I then heard a soft meow

in the distance offering assistance...

Paprika seemed pretty sure of herself

Well let me tell you...I could hardly wait for the action!

Then Paprika arrived and showed me how it's done..gracefully!

Paprika managed to walk through all the cards while leaving them in place.  If it was me I would have knocked them all over. I was so impressed!

Watching her delicate steps required extreme concentration however, and I soon found a better occupation!

Well, if you managed to get his far into our Christmas  card foragings, we congratulate you and wish you and yours a wonderful December.

Faux Fur Friday

Good morning, Peaches here! Faux Fur Friday, celebrated the first Friday of December, is an irresistible holiday to celebrate for cats and humans! Faux fur clothing first got started in 1929 and in the 1970's was at its heyday.

Both I (above) and Paprika (below) are firm believers in this holiday.

First of all, humans can wear it & look pretty instead of REAL fur from animals, as was so popular in years past.

The real benefit of course is to us cats.  Just check out how happy Paprika and I are on this zebra fleece fur.  Our human buys them on sale at Joanne's Fabrics just to give us a thrill!

Speaking of thrills, you can see how I am enjoying this leopard print which is one of the Faux Fur fleece throws on which to luxuriate.



As you can see I could not resist a little "frolic" on same!

Lest you think we are completely nutty cats, we now present "Exhibit A" - featuring our human Carol.  Humans are far from immune to Faux Furs. As you can see, Carol is wearing a tiger sweater & TRYING to look like US!

We don't really think she succeeded but applaud her efforts.

Whenever possible we seek out articles of clothing to "hang out on" and protect. Here, for example, is Carol's "Tiger Hat" which makes a great foot warmer or pillow for myself or Paprika (below)

I personally like to watch over this particular tiger hat and "protect" it so it will not fall into the wrong Paws."

When my human wears this hat out and about, I am always quick to pounce on it and "secure" it upon her return.
