Peaches cozies up to country gear - Sunday Selfie

After my request to go to Nashville was denied, I was bereft and insisted on situating myself near country-western gear just to be close to it all in a virtual way. I chose Carol's purple, turquoise & mustard colored cowboy boots, multicolored vest & blue jeans as background.  I left out her cowboy hat as I wanted my ears to show. I think the colors bring out my ginger highlights. What do you think?  (I'm not conceited or anything) (well maybe a little)

This is my original photo. I stationed myself in just the right place don't you think?

Carol as usual decided to make a collage out of the whole thing
but I think I looked better "au Natural". which one do you like?

Hope everyone had a wonderful time in Nashville! I'm planning already to make my entrance as "Palm Goddess" in Phoenix.

But for now...we are joining in the Sunday Blog Hop. Have fun visiting all the other delightful animals!

Paprika, Doortop Dancer, fetches own toys

I, Paprika, am a proactive cat and when I feel it's time to play, I fetch my own toys. Even if I have to get on the door top to do it.

Here I am atop the door, eyeing one of my favorite toys...
Look Out, world! I grab the furry thing from atop the door!

Mission accomplished!
My sister Peaches would never DREAM of going to all that trouble.

Peaches learns photography

Carol said I've got to start taking my own selfies...my first assignment is learning the camera!

Although i'm not crazy about this new responsibility...

I'll try anything once!

To heck with it! YOU take the picture, Carol

Protecting our blog from intruders!

Do not Disturb

Here I am, displaying OUR blog!

Do not bother Carol when she's working on her blog! While we try to interfere with "other" work, we are always helpful
when she is writing about US!

Verrrrrrry Interesting!

Here I am, "guarding" the blog, while my
Peaches: Protecting our blog
 from intruders
sister Paprika guards the keyboard from intruders.

My sister Paprika is guarding the keyboard!
When Carol wrote all that stuff last week about our narrow escape from the euthanasia list in NYC which she learned about just recently, we tried to comfort her. What cat wouldn't???

INTERFERENCE FRIDAY

I see, she's got all the reports in this box top
Carol is being a pain in the neck, going to a place she calls "work" while leaving us alone.  THEN working at home on top of it.  We had to take matters into our own hands and get involved....

What have we here, a 2ND box top?

Given the complexity of the task,I've asked my sister Paprika for assistance.

It's a tight squeeze!

Aren't we a lot cuter than that "work"?

Mother's Day Event at MKK + a ragtime video

Paprika at MKK

This Mothers Day weekend is dedicated to Marys Kitty Korner, our previous home. Here is one last FUN video about MKK we don't mind Carol showing you:

The Cats of Marys Kitty Korner - set to ragtime music

...because WE have CAMEO ROLES in it.  It's "our story" and the story of many other kitties who lived with us at MKK.   If you have a few minutes...enjoy!  Next week: new adventures

The new" Kit Kat Room" at Marys Kitty Korner

Enhanced photo of Cat Art at Marys Kitty Korner
Good morning, all, today our human Carol is featuring a nifty art photo" she made of of wonderful "cat sculpture" at Marys Kitty Korner (former home of Peaches & Paprika) in Connecticut...the photo also appears in her SHORT MUSICAL MEOW VIDEO BELOW (click on link...you'll love it!)

This is a short video, complete with purrs, music, 35 cats & Meows in a slideshow Carol created-- of Marys Kitty Korners' new sunroom and the cats who enjoy it.

Since WE used to live at Marys Kitty Korner, we try to be understanding if Carol displays pictures of "other cats" there...although we'd prefer she showed only pictures of us.

Admission: We DID enjoy listening to the meowings of the other cats, though. We get tired of listening to each other.

Our first meetings

First Encounters

thought it would be fun to write about my first encounter with my two sweeties at Marys Kitty Korner in Granby, Connecticut.  Here are my first glimpses when I came to visit:

Peaches

Peahes communicated with me almost immediately...
I've decided I no longer like this cage
How about YOU?  Will YOU take me home?
A little display for my charms never hurts

Blatant Flirtation is my game

So what do you THINK?

Paprika

Paprika was more reserved...but just as affectionate!
Unlike my sister Peaches I prefer to keep a respectable distance from strangers

However as you'll notice I'm no slouch in the looks department

I can be a little sad & dreamy sometimes because I am a sensitive cat

So what about it, you're leaving with us, right?

There was no resisting these animals .....Go, Marys Kitty Korner!

Safe From Harm: 3 Striped Girls

SAFE AT LAST! (CONTINUED)

Here we are safe at our mom's place...since December 2012....and don't you think she looks a little like us?  You wouldn't be the first to think so!

We let her think she is in charge but actually we have been running the house since we got here!

OUR TEMPORARY HOME AT MARYS KITTY KORNER

Paprika hoping for a home
Right before moving here, we lived at  Marys Kitty Korner our temporary home.

The sun room at Marys Kitty Korner
After our narrow escape from extinction in New York City, we were brought to scenic Connecticut to stay at this friendly no-kill shelter in Granby, Connecticut. We stayed here from July 2012 till December 2012.
Peaches trying to attract visitors at Marys Kitty Korner
We got to roam around & didn't have to stay in those awful cages all the time like in New York.  It's a sunny place with tons of windows & places to explore while waiting for our forever home.  However there were LOTS of other cats (competition!!!) & it's not like having your very own human!  Finally we found a good one!
