Okay so I’m not perfect.
Paprika and I were brought up to be "little ladies" During the entire time we lived here I have never set a paw on the kitchen counter nor tried to steal a human meal. That all came to an end yesterday when a temptation too overwhelming to resist was suddenly presented to me.
You see our human eats these delectable sandwiches but we
know better than to ask for a bite. Cod
Forbid! She doesn’t mind us sitting on
her lap though.So this time I was hanging out on her
lap minding my own business while she chomped away on…a TUNA SANDWICH! And THEN the phone rang and she forgot all
about me and the sandwich. Well now I was faced with a TUNA TEMPTATION
which overpowered my better judgement. Before I knew it I had casually
leaned over and begun consuming the meal of my life! But then I was confronted with my human’s
horrified expression and I knew I was in
for it.
Well it's all over now but...Would I do it again?
You know it was so delicious I just might. There are limits to how much temptations a cat should have to resist. Don't you agree?
Peaches, probably every one of us have tried to steal our humans' food at one point or another. The humans cannot turn their back on Lily. She grabbed something right off Dad's plate just a coupe days ago. Hope you didn't get in too much trouble sweet girl. Thanks for joining our blog hop. That was more temptation than any kitty could be expected to resist! I inhaled half of a smoked barbecue turkey melt sandwich one time when mom just turned her back so I been there. Love Dolly

ReplyDeleteRackon you were within your rights as a cat here. Circumstances dictated the Mum put the sandwich down (the place is important) and as it was within your paw distance - it is yours by right ;-)

We unnerstand the temptation... We do not bother TBTs food generally. We know that, iffen it isn't on the floor, its not ours. TBT has often reminded us that when Skeeter and LC were here, he could leave meat on his plate and go check email secure in the knowledge it would be untouched when he returned.
ReplyDeleteWe are not quite THAT purrfect. I (Ayla) once ran off with a mostly eaten chicken thigh, Marley has been caught a couple times up on the kitchen counters sniffing at food, and few times TBT has placed his plate in the M/V as a safe spot when the phone rang.
On the other paw, he doesnt eat toona, so we're not sure what we would do if he left some of THAT on a plate on the table...
Thank you all for supporting Peaches! Human Carol relents and guesses she won't be mad at Peaches any more. We just hope Paprika doesn't get any funny ideas from imitating her sister!
