As indoor cats, we may not be able to celebrate this mouthwatering day as we would like. But we have our own methods for appreciating these beautiful creatures. As you can see, we are no slouches when it comes to finding birds...but as indoor cats there are "special opportunities!
BIRD DAY, celebrated tomorrow, May 4, is THE oldest bird holiday and you can read about it by clicking the link. It's not to be confused with "National Bird Day" which is January 5 or "International Migratory Bird Day" which is the 2nd Saturday in May.
On Bird Day we have a rare opportunity to really collaborate on reaching birds in unconventional ways, as shown above. Check out that brave Paprika, extending a paw. But there was a barrier!
Disclosure: We did post similar photos last year, only mistakenly thought it was National Bird Day. This gives us license to correct our little error...heck we're only human, er...feline!
We are joining Cthe Cat on My Head Sunday blog hop.
And now we ask, how do YOU kitties celebrate birds and bird day?
Sister Dolly will surely celebrate with you, she loves Bird-TV on the computer!ReplyDelete
Enjoy your Bird Day and stay safe cuties!ReplyDelete
If there is a bird in the yard, then Da Boyz are at the window watching!ReplyDelete
We sure enjoy those birds you two have and hope you share or maybe they will visit us too. PurrsReplyDelete
Oh boy! We're definitely going to celebrate Bird Day...probably by watching some Bird TV.ReplyDelete
LOL We have bird TV a lot here, and you just made mum remember she needs to put bird seed out!!!ReplyDelete
I chatter love songs to my bird pals outside my big window...they chirp and flitter while I chatter, MOL!ReplyDelete
You have some very pretty birds to watch on Bird Day.ReplyDelete
You know, as attentive as I am out on the deck dad would say I have no interest in birds whatsoever. Squirrels capture my attention briefly, and that damn lizard that keeps intruding makes me drool once in a while, but I'm kinda like "meh..." when it comes to such critters. Whatever.ReplyDelete
