Do you know why I did this?
The human has no clue! She asked me and asked me, "Paprika, what's up? Why is there a toy mouse in your water dish? What were you THINKING?"
But I answer her NOT
She doesn't have to know everything.
What about you fur-balls? Don't you ever put objects in strange places JUST to confuse the peeps????
Paprika, Da Boyz don't go near any water bowl that we set out, so no drowned mouses there.
ReplyDeleteSweetie drinks plenty of water, but rarely plays with mouses, so no drowned moses there either.
However, I've heard from many cat-owned humans who say their overlords often put toys in the water; must be some super-secret cat reason.
Now, I am sure you did that to baffle your mum surely!! What a little minx you are!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest not doing it again though. Wet mice take forever to dry......
Eric used to do that to Scruffy Rat, and also to any shrews he, or more likely Flynn caught. I think shrews must taste bad because they never ate them.
ReplyDeleteMy niece's cat does that with his toy mice too. Either cleaning them or deading them. :)
ReplyDeleteIf the Dad leaves a mouse out all night Simon will take it for a swim too!
ReplyDeleteMudpie did that with her favorite mousie once too!
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee! Ninja was the cat who played with mousies here and he used to leave his mice in the dishes all the time! I don't have a clue, but I do miss seeing them in the water dish.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to keep your humans guessing. I can't say I've ever left a mousie in my water bowl, but that does seem like a good place to keep him from sneaking away. Although I think mousies can swim. Paprika, you might want to make sure your mom to disinfect that bowl and fill it with clean water, 'cause who knows where that mousie has been. Tee hee hee. Can you email me with your new address, 'cause Mom and I want to send you an xmas card, but she only has your old address. Purrs.
ReplyDeleteI've done this too. The mouse told me he wanted to go swimming. :) ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteThe water rehydrates the catnip, making it pungeant once again !
ReplyDeleteWe have often put strange things in Our water bowls, including toys and bits of paper.
ReplyDeleteI don't necessarily hides things in strange places, but I do occasionally throw them for a loop with my, umm unique behavior.
