Respect Your Cat Day!

Did you know today is
"RESPECT YOUR CAT" day?  Well it is!  That is why I feel totally confident expressing my dominance over Carol's office and, well, EVERYTHING!

Peaches feels the same but it's ME who can really get up there ON TOP! - Which is where I belong!

-- Respectfully submitted, Paprika the Cat

HELLO, Peaches here.  I have my own way of commanding respect.  I simply remain seated, er, lying in the central focal point of the room, i.e., central office chair...and refuse to move under the "what's yours is Mine" rule.

I don't have to get on top of things to command respect! MOL...

International Women's Working Day

We would like you to know that we girl cats are very industrious & want to celebrate International Women's Working Day

We too can often be found in the office working away!  PROOF can be found in Paprika's example above.

I, Peaches, as well, is a dedicated worker in my own way:

Paprika: Relaxing doesn't really count, Peaches~~

 ****

Paprika's worries: Of course being the worker of the two, it is I who often is left with the REAL worries of finishing all the paperwork!

We hope you'll agree, we have presented absolute proof we are hard working girls.  Don't you think so? Do YOU work hard? We wish all you girl cats a happy International Women's working Day!

National Fun at Work Day

National Fun at Work day is based on the premise that work fun increases  job satisfaction, productivity and lowers absenteeism.  Well, as cats, we can testify to THAT!

Here at Chez Carol we share an office with a human, but are basically in charge. (as you can see)

BEST PRACTICES FOR JOB SATISFACTION

Truth be told, we keep things interesting (we'll illustrate below) and have LOTS of fun!  We do have certain "Best Practices" we wish to recommend to cats at large.

1. Observe workspace VARIETY to keep interest level high!  it is not necessary to always work from traditional locations like chairs.

2. Chairs are acceptable, though, if comfy! Do not be intimidated by humans into working from inferior spaces. INSIST on the best. It will enhance your work. "purrrformance."

3. "Fake it till you Make it!" Assume an attitude of confidence, from a position of power, even when you might feel otherwise.

4."Assume creative positions & "spread out" (while not relinquishing authority.) this position is more entertaining than just sitting + its harder for humans to relocate you.

5. LEATHER:
Try to interact & intertwine with articles found in your office. Leather can give a particular thrill.

By practicing the art of variety, creative positions & having a laugh or two we are certain we have increased our productivity. As for absenteeism, we are never absent from the office!

New Years Resolutions? What are those?

Hello, Paprika here! Attempting a very difficult task assigned to us by our human.  How will we be better cats this year?   Impossible! We're purrfect just as we are.  (if you believe that you'll believe anything...hee hee)

Computer Mouse taken over by Peaches the Cat

Hello, everyone. I just learned a new trick!  My disobedient human kept doing her "computer work" recently, ignoring me. Here's what I did: I PUSHED THE COMPUTER MOUSE away from her hand onto the FLOOR!

I then took up my rightful place on the desk. hahaha. The SHOCKED LOOK on her face was my reward. I'm joining The Cat on My Head's weekly hop to share this successful experiment with you. Don't you think I did the right thing?

Note from Carol:  this really happened.  I WAS shocked to see my computer mouse land suddenly on the floor and Peaches look so pleased....

Paprika helps Rainbow Bridge Dogs Slideshow

Human's Note:

Whenever I even THINK of working on the Rainbow Bridge animals' slideshow, (first the cats & now working on the dogs show), Paprika is on my lap purring before I know it!  She snuggles her wam comforting furry self against me so it is easier to work peacefully.  It's as if she senses the emotion behind putting together the video!  I find my cats (and this could go for all animals) amazing in their sensing what is going on, on a deep level!

INTERFERENCE FRIDAY

I see, she's got all the reports in this box top
Carol is being a pain in the neck, going to a place she calls "work" while leaving us alone.  THEN working at home on top of it.  We had to take matters into our own hands and get involved....

What have we here, a 2ND box top?

Given the complexity of the task,I've asked my sister Paprika for assistance.

It's a tight squeeze!

Aren't we a lot cuter than that "work"?
