COMMAND PURR-FORMANCE!

We were given these hats and told us we had no choice.  But they're really Very stylish, far above our usual flat hats so we were happy to comply.  THEN we were given a brand New book, over and above our Spring Celebrations book and THIS book is about US TOO!  It says "calicos" on the cover.  Ta-da! Will our joys never end?  Happy Dr. Seuss Day to all!

Social Distancing for Cats

Our human told us about this new practice. We do wish to get in the spirit & purr-ticipate!  But there should be modifications for cats don't you agree?

Graffiti Peaches - Cat-Ur-Day Art

I love blue colors in winters and thought you would like to see MY living room.  Our human who mistakenly thinks its HER room did not decorate it to my eclectic taste  ao I thought I'd apply a more artistic touch..  How do you think I did?  

You'll see a "quasi-cat" at my side.  That's "Calissandra" my sometimes companion who doesn't do much of anything but looks a lot like me.  I keep her around so I can "lord it over her" like I'm doing in this picture.

Today my human, inspired by Athena, Cat Goddess today, used the Lunatic "Graffiti" effect.  Do you kitties ever help decorate your house?

Wishing all my fur-riends, fur-balls and humans a wonderful Kitty-Mama and Mother's Day!  It's the best time of all to show your love to those you cherish!

Celebrating National Goof Off Day

We've been waiting and waiting for this day..National Goof Off Day...so we could show off what we do best! Nothing!  It's a day to lean back, be silly, and enjoy one's, um, "leisure."

It was not as easy preparing for this day as you think.  We'll have you know we had to do a lot of practicing!

As you can see, I, Paprika, have the most creative stretch of all, while Peaches tries to get by with the old "show my white tummy" routine.

Kiss & Make Up Day - for Cats!

We are so glad this cool "National Kiss & Make Up holiday exists so we can easily smooth over the "ruffled furs" from our various, er, "scuffles." We really do love each other! Well most of the time. Also we feel this should be a holiday for cats, not only humans. Don't you agree?

Tummy Tuesday Face-Off

There is definitely a difference of opinion here between sis-furs Peaches & Paprika as to who should rule on Tummy Tuesday!

The matter remains unresolved! Calico sisters can be pretty strong-minded. But Paprika has some great moves & is definitely giving Peaches a run for her money (er, catnip)

I decided to take a break from our nap to send love & say hello. Pay no attention to that lazy cat beside me (Peaches).  NO wonder she's so chunky, sleeping all the time!  My human thought I was being immodest and decided to give me a "heart" but I don't agree! "Au Naturel' is always MY motto!  Have a lovely Tuesday!

Scrutiny of Holiday Cards

Suddenly the Dining Room Table was filled up...

We noticed an enormous amount of INCOMING papers and went over the see what was up!

Wow, Carol got ALOT of cards, didn't she?

Our World rocked by Holiday visitors

The Overnight Visitors

This past weekend - a 'CAT-ASTROPHIE" turned our feline lives upside down.  OVERNIGHT VISITORS!!!

We were minding our own business, awaiting Carol our human's return when...THREE humans returned.  The two stranger-humans LOOKED like Carol but were NOT Carol. We were told they were something called "cousins", an invention made to fool cats.  We took off and were having none of it. Just look at us in those "leopard boxes" Carol brought to placate us:  do we LOOK happy?

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT? OH NO!

Are we enjoying ourselves? NOT!

That night was even MORE confusing.  There was a lump on Carol's bed and when approaching I was horrified to find it was NOT Carol but a "cousin."  I went to look for Carol and she was asleep in her den but on a small cot and it was hard to position myself properly.  Plus Paprika got there first & got the best spot.

FIRST I CHECKED THE LIVING ROOM

I walked out to the living room, seeking out the soft velour sofa but horrors, there was another "cousin" on it, wrapped in a blanket. this was more than any cat should have to put up with. All my secure places turned topsy turvey.

Then I tried ALL the rooms!

I ran back and forth between the den and living room, wailing softly and trying to tell them they were doing it wrong but no one would listen!  This was outrageous. My wails grew louder. Finally  Carol came out to whisper to me to be quiet and coaxed me 

Soothed to sleep...finally

into the  den where she petted me and where I uneasily settled on a "cat bed" Carol had brought for us. I have told her so many times I'm no longer into "cat beds" - did she forget?

The Next Morning

The next morning was better.  The cousins were finally upright and took up less space.  I got brave and ventured to the sofa finding a good place to display my charms.  It worked. One of the cousins took my photograph. 

At last I was in my element...in pictures!

Finally they left - but not a moment too soon.  The motto of this story is...if we put our paw down and stay, they will go! We had not really slept for hours and
conked out in the den.  Here we are, out cold.  See you in a few days!

Here we are recuperating from Halloween  in our FAVORITE POSITIONS!  Our human had fun using Lunapic's Picasso effect for Peaches but for our together shot, we got "floating hearts" so she can show how she loves us!    BUT

While we were resting our human was unfaithful to us!  She put together a slideshow of Fairy Villages for "Winding Trails" a nearby nature place.  Even though it has nothing to do with cats she insisted on showing it to you, saying it is "creative."  We'll show you creative, girl! Anyway for those who want a "cat break' we hope you enjoy the fairy villages.
