Paprika's Hug Your Cat Day

Paprika the cat here.  I finally got to be the star of "Hug Your Cat Day."  It's about time!  Usually Peaches runs off with these plum gigs and its so unfair. So this very week I CHASED Peaches out of the bedroom, so I could have the human to myself.

Yay! Am I a good "hugg-ee" or what! It's a very important day to show your love by one or many hugs.  Happy Hug yer cat day to all! 

Happy early Hugging Day

Paprika here! This important hugging day is actually celebrated January 21 (tomorrow). We prefer to get a head start because 1) Hugging is cool and 2) we have lots more time for hugging on a snowy weekend afternoon!

National Hugging Day, as you can plainly see, is not limited to humans (though they are encouraged to participate!) I love being hugged by Peaches because when she's in a good mood, I feel so safe & protected snuggled in her Paws!

Among the benefits are boosting serotonin, lowering blood pressure, improving cardiac health and increasing relaxation among both participants.  We can attest to that!

Happy Cuddle Up Day

This is a wonderful time for me to cuddle with my sis-fur, Peaches for National Cuddle Up Day!  Winter is the ideal time for snuggling in general with--humans, animals or toys.  Being as how Peaches is a close relative, I can't think of a better creature to snuggle with.  Of course the holiday is ALSO for humans.  Who is YOUR pick to cuddle up with?  -- Paprika the Cat

Happy National Hug Day

When our human found out it was NATIONAL HUG DAY she spared no effort to find a picture of US. 

After a long record-breakingly quick search, she found this smoochy one. I had actually fallen asleep giving Paprika an ear wash! According to our human's research, this day is to encourage everyone to hug family & friends more often.  It didn't say that Cats couldn't hug each OTHER, did it? 

Wishing everyone a loving day for holding close your loved ones, pets and friends!

I couldn't wait for this day so I could hug the earth!

However Carol the human tells me that's not what this day is about, it's to support our environmental efforts around the world.  Particularly important this year!

And of course Paprika tells me I'm being too literal. But she ALWAYS has something sarcastic like that to say!

Be that as it may, we have a beautiful earth and we three hope to keep it and its amazing creatures forever and ever. This day is celebrated in 19 countries! We are joining Athena and Marie's Caturday Art hop and Bionic Basil's Friday hop today to celebrate here.

Safe In the Arms of My Human

Our human thinks she's protecting us, but...

Actually I keep HER safe while she is going through the stresses of life.  I simply  wrap my white paws around her at night  to comfort her but as a bonus I get chest and belly rubs.  So it's all good!
