Dress Up Your Pet Day - Blue Bonnet Paradise

Hello, Peaches the "dressed up" cat here! We are not big "dress up" cats, but Looove our blue bonnet, which was a gift from Miss Ellen of 15 and Meowing when we first her at a cool cat fair in Massachusetts! We posted these photos in a previous year, but how can we resist sharing the again on such a momentous occasion as Dress Up Your Pet Day!

What I've always liked about this bonnet is it's cool "ear action"

and as you can see it looks just as scrumptious from the side!

The ear action is un-equalled, I tell you!

Now as you can (see (last two pictures) my sis-fur Paprika doesn't "get" the purpose of this item.  She thinks you're supposed to lie on top of it.  Hopeless case!  Now a cautionary word to the world at large! Be sensitive to your kitties' er, "inclinations."  Most do NOT like dress up.  There are always "virtual dress ups" which mom Carol likes to do most of the time.  Or your kitty could lie next to something festive.  What sort of "stuff" does your kitty like on him/her or to lie on top of?

Dr Seuss Try-Ons

Good morning, Peaches here!
This year, My human was determined to FINALLY have us wear the Dr Seuss hat which our friend's mom, brought us 2 YEARS ago as a special gift. It was made by her mom!
Ms. Ellen of 15 and Meowing blog had asked me personally  then if I would wear the hat for Dr Seuss Day.

I refused last year but this year I have become more outgoing and cooperative. My human cannot believe it!

The next step was to ask Paprika to put on the hat.  She knew what was coming so had migrated to the top of the refrigerator.

As I however had suspected, Paprika was her usual ornery self when it comes to costumes or picture-taking!

So as per usual, it will be up to ME to entertain the crowds.  Believe me, I'm up to the task.  I have no choice since some sisfur up there on the fridge is determined to NOT participate! -- Peaches the cat

PS: Because of the special a day and circumstances of Paprika not joining me in hat-wearing, I purrrsuaded our human to create a new graphic of us with books (see below).  After all, it doesn't hurt to "pretend" to be literary.  

What better way to start than with Dr. Seuss!

Evil Peaches? Caturday Art

While I was lounging peacefully in my cat condo, my human came right up to me and "transformed me" into an evil princess with the filter "Painnt" - which Athena told her about. she used the "Charleston" effect this time.

But actually, I think I look a little mean here, don't you? 

Even meaner than when I'm mad at Paprika & trying to teach her a lesson. But I'll be back to my own sweet non-evil self soon!  I promise! Happy Caturday to all my friends and subjects!

Meowbox Summer Camp Collection - Product Review

Camp Cats Peaches & Paprika ready for action!

Oh Boy!  We heard  today that a special box just arrived for us. It's called "Meowbox Summer Camp Collection" - a surprise   from our adoring human.

Naturally we dressed for the occasion!

Meowbox, according to our human is a special "goodies" box created for cats like us who like surprises.  We had just gotten a different box from another company last month that was b-o-r-i-n-g.  But we guardedly held out hope that this one would be neat.

It WAS!  This  Meowbox had the most scrumptious goodies in it we ever experienced!  A cat could not be more pleased.  Here's how it went down!

The Grand Opening:  We were delighted when we opened the box to find our own names were on it! And a cool gift card about cutie-pie kitties at Camp. These greetings made us feel warm & fuzzy.

And then we pawed the box open! Mrow-Wow-double Mrowwww! 

Box inspection:

There were the most incredible things in it which smelled good:

• KITTY CAMPER DUO: a HOT DOG and CAMPFIRE toy with catnip which got us excited about camping! (and catnapping)
• CATNIP S'MORES: tasty catnip filled treats
• CAMP BADGE TRIO: Crinkly stuffed 'MEOWIT' Badges
• CAT CAMP BALL CHASER: - by Animalove. Blue & yellow handmade toy with sisal, rattan & wood. We chased after it immediately!
• "IT'S PURRELY NATURAL" Chicken Treats 
•  - freeze dried & containing no additives

The first four items were by R2P Pet Ltd, who surely knows about felines and furballs. The chicken treats were by Animalove. Yum!

Of course we could hardly wait to try it all out, but deciding what to try first was part of the fun! 

 Sniffing and Whiffing and cat-vestigating were an integral part of the camp experience!

We were mesmerized by the large "hot dog" and far more so, once we, um "whiffed" it!

CATNIP S'MORES

We thought this toy was beyond adorable! We tried to pull off the marshmallows and there was a little tree behind it!

Every kitty camper needs badges! These stuffed 'Meowit' badges from Camp Meowbox fit the bill! Paprika likes the blue one...Me? I'll take them all!

 I was then told by my human to "play nice" and share with sister, Paprika. Bah!

 "It's Purely Natural Chicken Treats"

Since we started to feel drowsy, it was time to wake up with some tasty treats.  We gave in at last. Our human told us we could have some another day too!

Cat Camp Ball Chaser

The last toy was the most fun of all cuz we got to chase it! It's handmade with sisal, rattan & wood.  I took it over & would not Paprika near it!

WE LEAPED INTO THE AIR....

Throughout the, um, "event," we were all "high energy" and outdid ourselves with jumps and lunges. Paprika even rose up into the air! (see the above shot our human took)

So at the end, sisfur Paprika (left) completely "blissed out" and I myself went into a divine catnip stupor as well!

Interference with Tax Day 2017

With Easter so close behind it's amazing that tax day is upon us. Well I, Paprika am NOT happy about the whole thing. Carol should be "stretching" like me (see picture) not paying taxes. I object!






The correct thing to do under these circumstances is to CEASE tax activity and:

Well as for me, I think Paprika is putting WAY too much energy into this "TAX interference" thing.  The good thing is, now the sofa is ALL MINE....

Peaches Welcome Hat Ceremony

Hello everyone, Peaches here!  I want to share my totally cool HAT CEREMONY  (see below short video) with you. (For best reception click on the word "Hat Ceremony" above.)

I like to welcome my human home each night by not only greeting her but trying on her HATS!  To prove this is true, I have attached the little video (above) I helped my human make showing me trying on a blue hat, a green hat, a striped hat and a grey furry hat.  I feel a real communion with my human through her hats. she say there is scientific research on this - something about blending the scent from my fur and the hats so that we bond more? Wow!  Who knew?

Deb Barnes’ treasured book, Makin' Biscuits.  My story & those of countless other “creative cats” appear.

Re MAKIN' BISCUITS": Our human has been finding the little stories of many cats habits wonderful bedtime reading! Thanks Deb for giving us a rare glimpse into the lives of so many funny wonderful cats including your own 7 furrrballs.  We never tire of reading about their adventures.
